Given Niclas Fullkrug’s struggles, Michail Antonio’s injury and Danny Ings’ confirmed exit, Potter’s attacking options are limited.

This is why Kvistgaarden, a Denmark Under-21 international, has popped up on the radar for the upcoming transfer window.
The 23-year-old has bagged 23 goals for Brondby this past season and is highly regarded in Scandinavia.
He has also twice won the Super Liga Young Player of the Month award in 2022 and 2023.
West Ham will be taking a major risk by signing Kvistgaarden
Kvistgaarden brings a dynamic, modern forward profile that aligns with Potter’s vision for West Ham’s attack.
Stylistically, he’s agile, aggressive and clinical, boasting an impressive goal record.
His movement off the ball, ability to press high, and knack for finding space in the box make him a versatile fit for Potter’s fluid, high-pressing system.
However, signing the Danish forward poses risks for West Ham, who are desperate to climb from their 14th-place finish.
His experience is limited to Denmark’s Superliga, a significantly less competitive league than the Premier League, raising concerns about his adaptability to England’s physicality and pace.
With only 17 Under-21 international caps and no senior Denmark appearances, his inexperience at elite levels is evident.
West Ham’s history of strikers like Sebastien Haller and Evan Ferguson struggling at the London Stadium underscores the gamble.
Investing decent money on an unproven talent, especially with competition from Celtic and Eintracht Frankfurt, could strain resources if Kvistgaarden fails to adjust quickly, potentially undermining Potter’s push for a top-half finish.

He has had issues with form and fitness and stylistically has not appeared to be the right fit for the Hammers.
Signed under Lopetegui, he does not fit the system of Potter, and a summer exit must be on the cards for him.
At 32, he is also past his prime, so expecting him to suddenly come good may be naive, to say the least.
If Kvistgaarden is to join, a transfer away for the German talisman cannot be ruled out.
