West Ham eye defender signing as Tottenham v Frankfurt scouting mission emerges
West Ham sent scouts to watch Tottenham face Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League with the upcoming transfer window in mind.
The Hammers look set for a busy summer of incoming and outgoing deals as Graham Potter looks to take charge of his first full season at the London Stadium.
It appears that preparations for the window have already begun, which can only be seen as a positive for an Irons side who have had a largely poor campaign.
With that in mind, scouts have been sent out ahead of a potential deal once the season ends and the market opens.

West Ham scouts watch Tottenham v Frankfurt
There is no doubt that the East London outfit haven’t been good enough across the board in the past 12 months, with defence being a particular frustration.
This has seen a whole host of different options be used, with Potter seeming to be most comfortable operating with a back five since coming in.
Emerson and Ollie Scarles have been utilised in a left wing-back role as a result, with the youngster certainly catching the eye at times.
With that being said, it is a left-back option that appears to be wanted in the summer, as scouts were sent to watch Frankfurt ace Nathaniel Brown, according to TBR Football (12 April).
The 21-year-old has attracted interest from the Hammers as well as fellow Premier League outfits Manchester City and Arsenal at different points.
The Citizens joined the Irons in sending scouts to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to watch the Europa League clash as the Germany under-21 international played 89 minutes.

West Ham eye Brown summer signing
It must be said that a left-back signing could prove to be a necessary requirement in East London ahead of the new campaign if Emerson leaves.
The Italy international has been a useful servant for the Hammers, but looks as if a move away from E20 could be on the cards in the near future.
This would free up space for Brown to come in, which could represent a coup for the Irons, especially given the quality of side showing an interest in the German’s signature.
Stat (Bundesliga 24/25) | Nathaniel Brown |
Goal involvements | 7 |
Chances created | 30 |
Tackles won | 35 |
Duels won | 84 |
The Frankfurt man would represent the perfect start to the summer for Potter and Co. but could prove to be tough to land after a poor year in East London.
