West Ham decrease Crysencio Summerville asking price, he's top of Roma shortlist
West Ham United have lowered their demands for Crysencio Summerville.
The Netherlands international is now preparing for the World Cup after earning a call-up from Ronald Koeman.
The Oranje kick off against Japan on Sunday before further group clashes with Sweden and Tunisia.
That will take the winger's mind off relegation with the Hammers after a massively frustrating season.
A drop into the Championship has certainly raised questions over the 24 year old's future at the London Stadium.
It looks as if an exit could be likely as Roma remain keen, especially as the asking price continues to fall in E20.
West Ham lower Crysencio Summerville transfer demand amid Roma interest
The attacker was up there with one of the better players under Nuno Espirito Santo despite relegation.
He can hold his head up high somewhat after contributing to 10 goals across all competitions.
That likely would have been more if he wasn't impacted by injuries while on an excellent run of form.
It looks as if that hasn't turned away interested parties, although relegation could weaken the Irons' negotiation power.
Italian outlet Il Messaggero reported on Thursday that West Ham have dropped their asking price for Summerville to around £25million.
Roma had previously shown interest in January, but were put off by the £35m asking price.
They have maintained their interest moving into the summer and see the former Leeds man as their favourite option to add to their attack.
West Ham unlikely to stand in Summerville's way despite importance
The Serie A giants are set for a revolving door in forward areas moving into the transfer window.
Stephan El Shaarawy and Bryan Zaragoza have already left and Matias Soule could soon follow them out of the door.
That has opened the door for new options to come in with the spotlight said to be on Summerville.
After being described as "really important" important by Nuno earlier in the season it would prove to be a blow for the Hammers to lose him, but they may have no choice in the matter.
The Dutchman has already proven he is too good for the Championship with Leeds, so sticking around East London may not be worth his while.
West Ham have set their asking price and it will now be down to Roma to pay the fee if they want to land one of their top targets.
