West Ham deal for Youssef En-Nesyri set to be decided by Pablo Fornals exit

West Ham want to sign Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri again, but the potential move of Pablo Fornals to the Spanish outfit is likely to be the key, according to AS.

The Spanish news outlet shared on 23 August that En-Nesyri’s future will be decided by the tug-of-war over Fornals, with the midfielder seeing Sevilla as his ideal destination, while the Moroccan believes the time has come to leave.

The mutual interest in each other’s players could accelerate negotiations on all sides, although Sevilla’s valuation of Fornals, at around £7.7million, falls short of the asking price.

A mutually beneficial deal

If Fornals feels his time at the London Stadium has come to an end, with his intention to return to his home country of Spain, Sevilla would be an ideal destination for all parties.

If the Hammers can then use that deal to get their own move for En-Nesyri over the line, it will see all four parties involved in the transfer deals get their wish, with the Moroccan striker keen on an exit while West Ham have been long-term admirers of his.

It is shared in the report that Sevilla’s asking price of between £25.6million and £29.9million would be more than West Ham were willing to pay, although if Fornals is used as a makeweight in the deal, that price tag could drop significantly, opening the door to a possible swap deal.

En-Nesyri fits David Moyes’ ideal mould of a striker in his system. An effective aerial threat to dominate defenders, who will pose a threat in the box from set-pieces, would fit in perfectly at the London Stadium.

This one will certainly be one to watch as the transfer window draws to a close in the coming weeks.
