West Ham could move for Liverpool transfer as ‘change’ mooted at London Stadium

West Ham’s miserable campaign is coming to an end, and recruitment will already be their main focus.

Having won the Europa Conference League only a few seasons ago, the regression at West Ham has been deeply concerning, and it has only worsened since the arrival of Graham Potter.

The Irons already have a decision to make on the future of Potter, but as soon as that is done, they need to go full-throttle into the transfer window and showcase some serious ambition.

Several players have already been linked with a move to West Ham, and the latest update could see a Liverpool star make the switch to the London Stadium under one condition.

Caoimhin Kelleher transfer mooted at West Ham

West Ham have a lot of work to do in the summer transfer window, though much of it may depend on who leaves the club.

A report from Give Me Sport states that a sale for Mohammed Kudus “could shape much of West Ham’s transfer business,” while also adding that Liverpool keeper Caoimhin Kelleher could be a target if the Hammers opt to “make a change” in goal.

Alphonse Areola’s future has also been up in the air at times this season, and if the Frenchman moves on, they will need an adequate replacement.

Aaron Ramsdale is another to have been linked with the number one shirt at the London Stadium, another signing who would be a shrewd addition if a change is made.

West Ham have no margin for error this summer

Relegation fears would have been present up until the final day of the season had it not been for the lack of quality of the three promoted teams, and that should be enough to spark the board into showing some ambition.

The foundations of a very good squad are at the London Stadium, and with the right additions, progression will come.

However, a failure to make the right signings could set the Irons up for yet another dismal campaign next time out.
