West Ham could announce two new academy signings soon
West Ham are likely to announce two new signings for their academy soon, according to ExWHUemployee.
Writing on the West Ham Way Patreon page, the reliable Hammers insider reported that this week’s podcast will go more in-depth about the potential new recruits.
The Irons have already added 19-year-old French midfielder Pierre Ekwah Elimby from Chelsea this summer and striker Thierry Nevers, who is also 19.

Time to add to first-team
We’re not going to be one of those supporters who moan about young players being signed up with the view to them developing over the coming years. We’re not opposed to that at all.
However, it’s been a slow start to the summer transfer window for a lot of Premier League teams and whether that’s due to the European Championships or the financial impact COVID has had on the game, we’re not sure.
But what we are sure about is that David Moyes needs to sign a new striker this summer and so far it does not seem as though much concrete progress has been made in that regard.

Moyes will have plenty of money to spend after funds were held back in January after Sebastien Haller’s move to Ajax.
It could be a good thing that West Ham haven’t revealed their hand just yet and news is being kept under wraps at the London Stadium.
But with players due to start pre-season training in the next couple of weeks, it’s certainly frustrating.
We welcome the new young players to East London and we really hope they are able to make a mark at youth level and, eventually, in the senior side.
In other West Ham news, the Irons have tabled a bid to sign this new centre-forward.
