West Ham can pile more misery on Crystal Palace after new Bisseck update
Graham Potter is determined to strengthen his squad at West Ham after a relatively quiet transfer window.
The Englishman will have been pleased with the Hammers’ dominant 2-1 victory against Everton in their second pre-season friendly as part of the Premier League Summer Series.
The performance had a lot of the hallmarks attributed to Potter’s teams, but the 50-year-old will still feel that the Irons need more signings to come through the door in East London.
West Ham will be looking to climb up the Premier League table next season, and could be set to steal ahead of London rivals Crystal Palace in an ambitious move for Yann Bisseck.

Palace have bid rejected for West Ham target Bisseck
West Ham have signed just two players this summer in EL Hadji Malick Diouf and Kyle Walker-Peters, while Jean-Clair Todibo has his loan spell made permanent at the start of the summer.
The Hammers still need to replace Mohammed Kudus after his departure to Tottenham, but are also looking to strengthen at the back.
West Ham have a long-held interest in Bisseck, and are still reportedly interested in signing the Inter Milan centre-back.
They face competition from Crystal Palace, but the Eagles have seen their latest bid of close to £28million rejected by the Italian giants, as per journalist Fabrizio Biasin via X (30 July).
It is another blow for Palace, who have endured a tough transfer window of their own so far.
Inter have set out their stall, valuing the 24-year-old in excess of £34million, and are under no pressure to sell the German as his contract runs until 2029.
West Ham now have all the information they need to bring Bisseck to East London, and could pile on more misery on their Palace, who have had a tough summer, and could yet lose key players in Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze.
Max Kilman could lose his place to Bisseck
Max Kilman has not lived up to expectations since making a £40million move from Wolves, and could be the player to make way for Bisseck should he arrive this summer.
The centre-back generally plays on the right of the defence, but is equally capable of operating on both sides, and would comfortably slot into the middle in Potter’s preferred back-three.

Bisseck (blue) ranks higher in almost every key metric for categories relating to centre-backs than Kilman (green), with a notable difference in his defensive duel percentage and number of forward passes.
The Englishman is better at winning possession back, but should be worried for his place in the first XI under Potter if the German joins the Hammers this summer.
