West Ham could find themselves taking advantage of Hull City's PSR situation with a move for Ivor Pandur.

The Hammers are set for a season in the Championship, and as things stand, there is still quite a lot of uncertainty of which players will remain.

An instant rebound is the goal, and for that, Nuno Espirito Santo will require proven players within England's second tier.

Goalkeeper Pandur has been on the Irons' shortlist over the last few months, and the perfect time to swoop may be here.

While Mads Hermansen impressed in the latter stages of last season, between the sticks is an area that could be strengthened.

The future of Alphonse Areola is unknown but the likelihood is that he will depart with a new goalkeeper required in E20.

Why stars have aligned for West Ham to sign Ivor Pandur

When it comes to snapping up the signature of Pandur, everything looks to be going the Hammers' way.

For instance, Hull City, due to the promotion bonuses inserted into their player's contracts, now need to sell to avoid a points deduction.

That Premier League clause has taken them over the edge of the allowable losses by £6million with fears of a six-point deduction a reality.

The potential PSR breach has been shared by BBC Sport, and the Irons could use that to their advantage.

With the Tigers' desperation and need for incoming funds, Pandur could certainly be one of the stars they consider selling.

Hull have previously rejected incoming offers back in the winter window, but the situation has vastly changed.

Reports have suggested that the newly-promoted side are looking to sign a new goalkeeper with links to both Lukas Hornicek and Noah Atubolu emerging in the last few days.

Pandur may be thinking his place at the MKM Stadium is in doubt, and he could be tempted to move to London Stadium due to that.

Why Pandur would be a smart signing for West Ham

Pandur has proven himself at the Championship level, and he has done so to a high standard as well.

His performances for Hull have earned him a World Cup call-up, with the Croatian currently away with his nation in North America.

In the 2025-2026 campaign, he boasted an impressive 70 per cent save success rate, as well as picking up 14 clean sheets.

During the season, Pandur made 150 total saves, the highest of any goalkeeper in the second tier.

Pandur also ended the season with the Tigers with a goals prevented of 5.28 - the sixth highest total in the Championship.

Overall, Pandur is a quality shot-stopper for the second-tier and with everything lining up, it seems to be a no-brainer for the Hammers to make their approach.
