West Ham bid revealed for Celtic striker Cummings, personal terms agreed
West Ham have submitted a permanent bid to sign Celtic striker Daniel Cummings, according to Anthony Joseph.
The Sky Sports reporter claimed (2 February) that the Hammers have bid in the region of £500,000 to sign the 18-year-old in the winter transfer window.
The report states that a pre-contract was agreed with the Irons but now the East London club are looking to complete the deal before the 3 February deadline.
The Scottish star has made one appearance for Brendan Rodgers’ side, an 11-minute cameo in the 4-2 Champions League loss to Aston Villa (29 January).
West Ham finally making moves as deadline approaches
The Hammers have been desperate for attacking reinforcements since the winter transfer window began.
Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio, and Niclas Fullkrug have been out of action for a considerable period so Graham Potter requires additional firepower to salvage a dismal campaign.
The Irons seem set to add two attackers to their ranks with a loan deal for Evan Ferguson agreed upon with Brighton and the Cummings move now coming to fruition earlier than expected.

Both moves should be exciting for supporters, Ferguson is one of the most exciting young forwards in the Premier League and the Scot is one for the future.
The latter shows that the club are planning for the long term and does not just have a short-term mindset, which can be a disaster.
It has taken a while to materialise but it looks like the East Londoners have given the fanbase not one but two strikers in the same window.
