West Ham and Crystal Palace two options for Celtic goal machine Odsonne Edouard

Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard is running out of options when it comes to joining a club in the Premier League this summer but West Ham remain in the race, according to Eurosport.

The broadcaster reports that after a deal fell apart for Edouard, 23, to join Leicester, it has been left down to West Ham and Crystal Palace to sign the French centre-forward.

It is understood that Arsenal could revive their interest in the Scottish Premiership goal machine before the end of the summer transfer window as he’s in the final year of his contract at Celtic Park.

Eurosport adds that Edouard “will be allowed to leave if an acceptable formal offer arrives as Celtic will otherwise lose him for free in 2022”.

What’s not to like about Edouard, really?

At the age of 23, he’s still young and he’s already torn up the Scottish Premiership with Celtic, winning three league titles, two Scottish Cups and two Scottish League Cups.

In his time in Glasgow, Edouard has scored 85 goals in 176 appearances across all competitions.

He’s netted against the likes of Rosenborg, RB Leipzig, Red Bull Salzburg, and AC Milan in European football for the Bhoys while also netting regularly in the Old Firm against Rangers.

We have no doubts at all about Edouard’s ability to step up and score goals in the Premier League.

While we admit he might not be able to score at the rate of knots he has been able to in Scotland, he’s bound to be an absolute handful in England and David Moyes is bound to be able to get the best out of him.

West Ham should have no issues in beating Crystal Palace to signing Edouard, who’d be an excellent addition before August 31.
