West Ham advance negotiations to sign Keiber Lamadrid, details here
West Ham are in the transfer market to find new additions for Nuno Espirito Santo’s midfield.
Nuno guided his side to a dramatic 2-1 win over Tottenham on Saturday, which immediately relieved pressure from the Portuguese manager’s shoulders.
David Sullivan has already been splashing the cash to help the West Ham boss improve in key areas, with Pablo and Taty Castellanos already through the door.
On Sunday, it was announced that Andy Irving has departed the London Stadium to join Slavia Prague permanently.
The fee is undisclosed, but funds may be used in the Irons’ pursuit of Deportivo La Guaira’s Keiber Lamadrid.

West Ham enter advanced talks for Keiber Lamadrid
Irving joined West Ham from SK Austria Klagenfurt in 2023 and has made only 18 appearances for the Hammers since then.
His departure seems best for all parties, but it appears that Nuno already has his replacement in mind, with Lamadrid.
- Lamadrid is 22-years-old
- He is a Venezuelan international
- Lamadrid can play central midfield or on the left flank
According to Elias Lopez on X, West Ham are in advanced negotiations to sign Lamadrid from Venezuelan outfit Deportivo La Guaira.
The midfielder is expected to arrive on loan, as the 22-year-old can offer Nuno a range of different qualities from different positions.
It’s not yet known whether the deal will include a loan fee or a buy option, but the Hammers will most likely cover Lamadrid’s wages.
What can Lamadrid offer West Ham in a relegation scrap?
Lamadrid has only ever played in Venezuela with Deportivo La Guaira, but has excelled for multiple seasons, and looks ready for the next step in his career.
The versatile midfielder played 37 times for his side in 2025, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists too.
However, whether Lamadrid is ready for the Premier League or not is a whole other question. Regardless, he is an unknown talent, and Nuno can use that to his advantage.
The 22-year-old already has a wealth of experience in senior football, with over 100 appearances, and has established himself as a match-winner for La Guaira.
West Ham will hope that his mentality and experience will pay off in an eyebrow-raising transfer that could be finalised in the coming days.
