Wesley Gassova cash-plus-players bid in-bound after West Ham United transfer offer
Porto are lining up a cash-plus-players bid to sign Wesley Gassova after West Ham made contact over a deal, according to GOAL Brazil.
A report on the outlet’s website on 2 July says that the Portuguese giants are ready to pay €7million [£5.9m] while including two players to land the 19-year-old sensation from Corinthians.
Agents are reportedly discussing even more names being added into the equation, with unnamed options from Spain, Brazil and France potentially involved.
The Hammers are among a host of clubs to attempt to land the Brazilian already, along with Atletico Madrid, Brighton and Crystal Palace, but are said to have made no progress on a deal, with Corinthians president Augusto Melo wanting €30m [£25.4m].
According to ESPN Brazil on 28 April West Ham have already offered up to €18m [£15.2m] to sign Wesley.
West Ham want to add Wesley to Luis Guilherme capture
Tim Steidten has spent plenty of time focusing on Brazilian talents since he arrived at the London Stadium but has met with plenty of frustration.
Attempts to add attackers such as Yuri Alberto and Pedro last year fell short, while a deal for defender Patricio Bruno collapsed at an advanced stage earlier this summer.
The German managed to get a deal for one exciting youngster over the line in the form of Palmeiras winger Luis Guilherme, and it would add to change of outlook following the exit of David Moyes to add Wesley.
But unless West Ham are ready to spend a similar amount on the latter as they did on the former it looks like it will be difficult, and with no shortage of rival interest it wouldn’t be a shock to see him picked up elsewhere before long.

The exits of Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals this year left the Irons squad looking light in attack, while Lucas Paqueta’s situation could add to that pressure and Maxwel Cornet could yet leave [The Athletic, 4 June].
Guilherme’s arrival looks a positive move but has only partly addressed the issue, and while it would no doubt get fans excited to see Wesley follow him to the London Stadium it is, as so often with the Hammers, going to require them to up their offer or face missing out.
In other West Ham news, the Irons are battling to keep hold of a major prospect after contract offers were tabled.
