Burnley attacker Maxwel Cornet will be the perfect signing for West Ham
According to reports, West Ham are interested in signing Burnley winger Maxwel Cornet in the summer transfer window.
The Hammers have been in the market to strengthen their attacking unit ahead of the next campaign.
As per the report from the Telegraph, the Ivory Coast international has a £17.5million release clause in his contract after Burnley were relegated to the Championship last weekend.

Ever since moving to the Clarets, he has become a fan favourite at the Turf Moor as in his first campaign, he netted nine times in 27 appearances.

Moyes-type player
Despite the interest shown by Everton, it is important that West Ham doesn’t hesitate and get their man promptly because, by the look of it, he seems like a perfect fit for the Hammers and manager Moyes.
Throughout his managerial career, the former Manchester United manager has always preferred physically strong attacking players who can bully the opposition’s defensive units.
Wayne Rooney was one of the most devastating attackers in the Premier League history and it was Moyes who promoted him to the first team during his days as the Everton manager.
While it will be a little unfair to compare Cornett with Rooney, the former Lyon player has similar instincts as he can contribute much more than just scoring goals as his defensive work rate was second to none in the Burnley team during the last campaign.
West Ham qualified for the UEFA Conference League by finishing seventh in the Premier League and managed to reach the Europa League semi-finals in the 2021-22 campaign.
