West Ham will need to sell some midfielders if Tyler Morton is signed from Liverpool.
The Hammers have been determined to strengthen their midfield with the Premier League’s return in sight.
Morton has emerged as a contender to arrive at the London Stadium, but West Ham will need to sell before buying.
As a result, West Ham fans are not expected to see some familiar faces at the club next season.
Edson Alvarez
It has been suggested that Potter is not a fan of Edson Alvarez and would not obstruct his departure.
As a result, the Mexico captain could already have one foot out the door this summer. Indeed, there is reason to suggest that Alvarez is leaning towards an exit.

While the news is certain to remove a weight from his shoulders, question marks still surround his future at the London Stadium.
The Hammers could receive around £80million if Manchester City swoop for the Brazilian, which could facilitate Morton’s transfer and more. Therefore, the financial incentive could be enough to see him leave the club this summer.
Guido Rodriguez
Guido Rodriguez is another player linked with a departure before the end of the window.
While the defensive midfielder is not solely to blame for West Ham’s disappointing Premier League run, fans will not be overly resistant to his departure.
The Argentine made 23 appearances in the Premier League last season, mainly as a substitute, and a mediocre one at that. At 31 years of age, there is an argument to be made that he is past his best and the Hammers should be looking to move him on.
Therefore, it would be unsurprising to see him manoeuvred out for a younger, more promising alternative.
