Toulouse convinced they will sell West Ham United-linked Logan Costa by Friday
French club Toulouse believe they will sell West Ham United target Logan Costa by Friday, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Published on page 30 of the Italian newspaper’s 8 August edition, the Ligue 1 outfit are holding out for £13m plus add-ons, whilst favourites for his signature Bologna are prepared to pay £10m plus bonuses and will offer Toulouse a higher sell-on percentage.
As such, Gazzetta stated there is less confidence at Bologna of a swift resolution than there seemingly is in France.
Cape Verdean international Costa is open to the Bologna move due to the Serie A club’s qualification for this season’s Champions League, but “loud English sirens” are reportedly still coming from the Hammers to bring the 23-year-old to London and a serious interest has been noted [Il Resto del Carlino, 7 August].
West Ham continue to pursue Costa
West Ham had turned their attentions to Costa after failing to strike a deal with Nice for Jean-Clair Todibo, who is now expected to join Juventus.
Despite having brought in Max Kilman for a fee of up to £40m to reunite the former Wolves captain with Julen Lopetegui, the Irons are still in need of further defensive cover.
Beyond Kilman, just Nayef Aguerd, Kurt Zouma and Konstantinos Mavropanos offer senior centre-half options, with Aguerd and Zouma in particular linked with exits from the London Stadium this summer.

Brazilian international Fabricio Bruno was destined for a move before it fell through at the 11th hour earlier in the window, although the club are chasing a deal for German World Cup winner Mats Hummels [Florian Plettenburg, 6 August].
The Irons have up to four centre-back targets including Hummels before the 30 August deadline [Dharmesh Sheth, 7 August].
