Tomas Soucek open to move away from West Ham, problems with David Moyes – report
Tomas Soucek is open to a summer exit away from West Ham United, with tension between himself and David Moyes over his contract situation.
Soucek made his 100th appearance for the Hammers in the 1-0 defeat to Chelsea on Sunday, and his current deal is set to expire in the summer of 2024.
But the Czech international has seen his contract talks postponed until the end of the season, with some suggestions that he would have a decision to make in the summer if a deal couldn’t be reached.

Now club insiders Claret & Hugh have shared an update on the situation, reporting that there is growing tension between the manager and player over a disagreement with his performances.
Moyes is said to have offered a minor pay rise in negotiations due to Soucek’s form this season, while Soucek believes that is because of the manager’s instructions.
The 27-year-old and his agents are now said to be open to an exit if the right offer comes in.
Blow
It’s clear that there are two sides to every story and you can see the argument of both sides in this conversation now too.
Soucek hasn’t been nearly as dangerous going forward this season, but he has clearly been asked to sit deeper and play a more defensive role so that is only natural.

The ideal scenario in this situation is that a compromise will be found, because the midfielder certainly deserves to be given a reward for his contributions since joining the club.
Soucek is certainly not irreplaceable and if a compromise can’t be found then this summer would be the chance to sell because of his current contract situation.
But it would certainly be a blow if the Hammers were to lose a key midfielder in a summer where they’re hoping to build their squad further to continue to compete at the lofty levels of the last two seasons.
