The Athletic: Vladimir Coufal and Tomas Soucek could help entice Adam Hlozek to West Ham

Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal could be major players in bringing international teammate Adam Hlozek to West Ham this summer, according to The Athletic.

Hlozek, 18, has been linked with the east London club for a few months now, with French journalist Salim Baungally reporting in May that the Irons were desperate to sign him.

The Sparta Prague sensation, who hit four goals in 23 minutes on their final game of the 2020/21 campaign to become joint-top goalscorer in the Czech First League, is currently gearing up for Euro 2020 with Czech Republic.

He will line up alongside Irons duo Soucek and Coufal whose presence at West Ham, according to The Athletic, could “help pave the way for a move to the London Stadium”.

Hlozek shares an agent with Soucek, and his Sparta contract expires at the end of next season. The Athletic also report that signing a striker remains a “priority” for West Ham this summer, and Hlozek fits David Moyes’ profile of an up-and-coming talent.

The online news outlet also carried a profile of the striker and gave him a smarterscout rating of 98/99 which shows he’s one of the best strikers for dribbling past opponents, and it’s a rating that is on par with Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.

Get in his ear, boys

We like what we’ve seen and heard of Hlozek. The teenager looks like a huge talent and he seems worth the risk that may come attached to plucking a youngster from a less established league.

We’ve had major success from that market already, with Soucek and Coufal becoming mainstays under Moyes at West Ham, so why not exploit those links again?

His adaptation phase should be helped by his international teammates that are already at the club, and he is a versatile player that can play in a variety of positions across the frontline.

That’s some evidenced by his unbelievable dribbling abilities – that’s a trait that would surely translate well as a winger, if needs be.

His uncertain contractual situation also means he could be available for a bargain price for a player of his quality, although the upcoming European championships could see his price rise if he enjoys a successful tournament.

In other West Ham news, this exit-bound Irons player is in exit talks to sign for a European club with an agreement likely to be reached soon.
