Stuttgart could be forced to sell West Ham target Sasa Kalajdzic

Stuttgart will need to sell players this summer to make up for losses incurred as a result of the pandemic, and West Ham target Sasa Kalajdzic could be available, according to Bild.

Stuttgart sports director Sven Mislintat is tasked with generating a transfer surplus and in order for that to happen one or two key stars may have to leave, with Kalajdzic on the list of potential departures.

Kalajdzic has already attracted interest from a number of parties in recent weeks, including the Hammers, Tottenham and Liverpool [Daily Mail].

The 23-year-old was also coy about his future in a recent interview with Sky Austria, via Bild.

He said, “It may be that something will happen [a transfer exit], but maybe I’ll continue to play at VfB Stuttgart.

“I’m there, I’m relaxed. I don’t know what’s going to happen. I can’t judge it, it’s speculation.”

Time to swoop

Kalajdzic has been in fine form this season and is exactly the type of striker we should be signing.

His European experience should help us in the Europa League next season and his style of play would offer us something different in attack.

A return of 17 goals this season shows how efficient he is in front of goal, with his height also giving him an extra advantage when it comes to scoring headers.

And with the likes of Aaron Cresswell, Vladimir Coufal and Pablo Fornals supplying crosses, Kalajdzic could flourish if he was to join.

His age means he is likely to continue improving and Kalajdzic should be looking to impress in his first spell in English football.

That makes him different to another target, Marko Arnautovic, and we are sure the 23-year-old would show why there is such a great deal of interest in him.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano shared a similar view, saying the interest in Kalajdziv is not a surprise as he is an “amazing” player [GiveMeSport].
