Steidten finalises Wan-Bissaka transfer for West Ham United with payment terms to be clarified

West Ham technical director Tim Steidten has finalised a deal for Manchester United full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Florian Plettenberg has said.

The Sky Sports Germany journalist took to his official X account to report that two payment terms need clarifying on Saturday evening (10 August) but there are no issues with the deal.

He confirmed prior reports that Wan-Bissaka will have a medical on Sunday in a transfer worth £15million plus add-ons, with the 26-year-old signing a contract until 2030 at the London Stadium.

Steidten delivers again for West Ham

There are no prizes handed out for winners of the transfer window but if they were then Tim Steidten and the Hammers would have won the award by some considerable distance.

Under David Moyes last season, only the three teams relegated to the Championship conceded more goals than the Hammers and Steidten and the transfer team have worked hard to try and find solutions.

Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo already through the door to strengthen at centre-back and the arrival of Wan-Bissaka is a huge plus to their right-back ranks, especially with Vladimir Coufal’s star on the wane.

Signing Wan-Bissaka to a six-year deal also means they are getting a top-quality operator for his peak years and even though he stagnated a little at Old Trafford, there is no doubting that the 26-year-old is a top-quality full-back in the Premier League.

Fair play to Steidten, he has had a busy and extremely productive transfer window.

In other West Ham news, three players could be sold now Todibo is in the door.
