Stefanos Tzimas wants transfer as West Ham eye talented striker
Wets Ham United are eyeing Greek striker Stefanos Tzimas, according to TBR Football.
The news outlet reports [23 November] that the Hammers have the talented 18-year-old on their radar as they look to bolster their attacking options.
Tzimas, who currently plays for German club Nurnberg, has already made his desire to play in the English top flight known during an interview with Bild on 17 November.
“I try to do my best every day and do my part to ensure a successful season. We’ll see what happens in the summer,” he said.
“I want to play in the Premier League at some point. But there is still a lot to do until then, and at the moment I am in the right place at the club for my personal development.”
West Ham United need more than Stefanos Tzimas
While it’s encouraging to see the Hammers looking at potential stars of the future, there are more pressing concerns for the East Londoners to look at.
Niclas Fullkrug made his way to the Irons in the previous transfer window, and many felt that the German would be the first choice under Julen Lopetegui.
The 31-year-old built a pedigree of being a potent goalscorer during his time in the Bundesliga and also caught many people’s attention during Euro 2024.
Fullkrug’s arrival was seen as somewhat of a coup for West Ham in the summer, but Tim Steidten has come under fire after the striker has missed most of the season due to fitness issues.

Michail Antonio has been relied upon by Lopetegui for the majority of the campaign, but the Jamaican is way past his prime and can’t be expected to find the back of the net for the Hammers consistently.
Tzimas has done well in the second division of German football in the current campaign, scoring six goals and providing one assist, but the Greek centre-forward has a long way to go before being confident about making it in the Premier League.
In other West Ham news, Rory Jennings has taken aim at the boardroom as Julen Lopetegui continues to struggle.
