Star sale on the cards for Wolves amid West Ham United-Max Kilman transfer offer

Wolves need to sell a first-team star this summer with West Ham launching an opening bid for Max Kilman, according to Shropshire Star.

The news outlet reported on 21 June that while the Molineux outfit have rejected the £25million bid from the Hammers, they need a big sale to fund transfers over the coming weeks.

It’s understood that they value the 27-year-old English centre-back at £45million but have no immediate plans to sell him.

West Ham must test Wolves’ resolve with another Max Kilman bid

While they don’t want to let go of their star defender, every player has their price and the Hammers can test that with another bid.

The 27-year-old is a highly talented and versatile defender who has proven himself in the Premier League.

He is a strong, physical presence at the back, capable of winning aerial duels and making crucial tackles and interceptions.

He is also comfortable on the ball and can play out from the back, which is a valuable asset in modern football.

The Hammers’ defence has been a weakness in recent seasons, and they need to strengthen in this area if they want to challenge for a top-six finish.

Kilman would be a significant upgrade on their current options and would provide much-needed competition for places.

While Wolves value Kilman at £45million, the Irons could potentially negotiate a lower fee. Wolves are under financial pressure and may be forced to sell if a substantial offer is made.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers want to secure the free transfer of a player who’s set to leave a Premier League club this month.
