Sky Sports shares update on West Ham United pursuit of Yuri Alberto, player wants move
Corinthians forward Yuri Alberto wants to complete a move to West Ham before the transfer window closes, according to Sky Sports.
The news outlet reported on its live transfer feed on 29 August (11:04am) that it is a “problematic” deal to conclude for the Brazilian international due to the number of representatives and intermediaries involved.
It said the Hammers are still in talks with the Brazilian side over a potential deal, with technical director Tim Steidten in the country to try and negotiate a transfer for the 22-year-old, who his former Internacional teammate Edinilson previously claimed has “huge potential”.

Tricky
This could potentially be a tricky deal for West Ham to get over the line due to all of the parties involved, something that is often the case when trying to sign South American players.
But Steidten has made the smart decision to head out to Brazil to have face-to-face talks with Corinthians, so he should have a handle on where the club stands in its bid to sign the forward.
It’s a positive sign that Alberto does want to make the move as that means he can hopefully have something influence with the agents involved and you would think it would be better for his profile to make the move to the Premier League.

The Hammers have also been linked with his compatriots Pedro, who plays for Flamengo, and Santos’ Marcos Leonardo, but it is believed that the Corinthians forward remains their number one target.
They will have to move quickly if they want to secure a deal for him, though, as the transfer deadline is rapidly approaching and another forward option is certainly needed.
In other West Ham news, the club are eyeing a move for a “sensational” Champions League-winning defender.
