Sky Sports details likely winner in West Ham United race to sign Armando Broja on transfer Deadline Day
Fulham look likely to beat West Ham and two other Premier League rivals to the signing of Chelsea striker Armando Broja, according to Sky Sports.
The British broadcaster shared via their transfer blog on Thursday (1 February) that Aston Villa and Wolves were the other teams interested in Broja.
However, it is claimed that Chelsea’s West London rivals Fulham are best placed to land the Albania international if he does indeed leave Stamford Bridge on Deadline Day.
No thanks
West Ham have been linked with Broja throughout the window, but it is not a deal that ever looked close to being completed.
Widespread reports have suggested Chelsea have been holding out for a £50million fee for the 22-year-old, which is a staggering amount.
That may be the going price for many run-of-the-mill players these days, but Broja has eight Premier League goals across three seasons.
The Slough native performed well on loan at Southampton previously, but his career has stagnated since returning to Chelsea.

Broja does look like the type of player who could do a job leading the line for United, but only at half the price Chelsea are asking for.
If Fulham can seriously cough up close to what the Blues want, then all the best to them.
West Ham will need to look at bringing in a new striker in the summer, but this is not going to be a transfer they regret missing out on.
In other West Ham news, United have been namechecked by a “brilliant” international player with regards to a transfer.
