Said Benrahma could leave West Ham United within months in new twist

Said Benrahma could quit West Ham within months in search of guaranteed playing time after falling out of favour with David Moyes, according to Fennec Football.

The Algerian news outlet shared via their website on 29 October that, with Benrahma often being left on the bench, he could seriously consider a change of club in search of a more prominent role.

The report shares that there could be more possibilities for him despite his recent pouting, with his attitude coming into question recently after a bust-up with his manager on international duty.

It’s time to go

Benrahma has faced a frustrating season as he is struggling to break into Moyes’ first team, largely in part to the form of Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta, and when he has been selected his performances have been poor.

The arrival of Mohammed Kudus who largely plays on the wing although usually the other side to Benrahma, may prove an additional source of annoyance to the Algerian, who now has even more competition to deal with if he wants to work his way back into the first-team plans.

The combination of a lack of playing time, lack of consistency, and some poor displays for the Hammers mean Benrahma could be better off leaving the club in January in an attempt to jumpstart a stalling career.

A change of scenery could be the best route for all parties in this situation, with Benrahma needing to find some form and regular game time, while West Ham can clear his wages off the books and get rid of a player who simply isn’t good enough any more.

In other West Ham news, a journalist has shared a new Moyes sack update.
