Ryan Fredericks and Arthur Masuaku expected to leave West Ham this summer – report
West Ham are expected to allow both Arthur Masuaku and Ryan Fredericks to leave the club this summer, according to a report by 90min.
Right-back Fredericks is currently the third-choice for his position at the club and his contract is due to expire at the end of the current campaign.
Masuaku on the other hand still has two years to run on his contract, but he has fallen out of favour under David Moyes this season and West Ham are expected to listen to offers for him this summer.

Fredericks has started just once in the Premier League this season and is behind both Vladimir Coufal and Ben Johnson in the pecking order, so is likely to move on when his contract expires.
As for Masuaku he has always played understudy to Aaron Cresswell at left-back, but emerged as a decent wing-back option in Moyes’ three-at-the-back system before seeing his form fall off a cliff.
Time to go
If true, this is certainly an excellent decision by the board to move on two players who are underperforming for the level West Ham want to be at.
Fredericks has barely been called upon this season and even in the cup we’ve seen the emergence of young full-back Harrison Ashby into the first-team picture.

As for Masuaku, it’s just time for him to be moved on at this point. Cresswell is the undisputed first-choice left-back and both Johnson and Ashby are capable of filling in for him.
His performance level this season hasn’t been good enough and he’s often targeted by opposition for his defensive lapses and weaknesses and it’s something that’s easily addressed by moving him on.
There is reportedly interest in Aaron Hickey [90min] too which would explain moving them both on, but for once it seems like the club are planning for the future sensibly.
