West Ham United transfer news as Roma chief set for London talks for Gianluca Scamacca
Roma director of football Tiago Pinto will fly to London again to resume talks with West Ham around a deal for Gianluca Scamacca, according to Il Romanista.
Pinto is set to return to London for talks, with the hope they can find a total agreement with the Hammers, although West Ham are proving to be an obstacle that cannot be overestimated for Roma.
It has been revealed that Scamacca dreams of a move to Roma, and Pinto will not give up the chase for his number-one striker target despite West Ham’s asking price being deemed too high by the club, as West Ham look to reduce losses on their deal.

The report suggests that Jose Mourinho’s desire is to bring Scamacca to the club alongside other transfer target Alvaro Morata, as the two compliment each other in their respective styles of play.
The longer this deal drags on, the more impatient Roma will get
As much as it can be understood that West Ham do not need to sell Scamacca this summer, it seems to be in the best interest of all parties for a deal to take place. The more the deal drags on, the more it seems Roma could get frustrated.
West Ham may well be happy to hold out for their desired price tag, and should they not get what they want, Scamacca will stay in London, but they risk having an unhappy player on the books which isn’t helpful for anybody.

Scamacca wishes to return to Rome, the city of his birth, and to play under Jose Mourinho, while Roma are keen to replace both Tammy Abraham and Andrea Belotti after the pair managed just seven goals between them last season.
The Italian striker was named in West Ham’s starting XI for their first pre-season friendly yesterday, as it seems the club are willing to press on as normal.
In other West Ham news, the club have learned of a £15million fee for England trophy-winning star.
