Rios wants move finalised next week after West Ham United offer made
West Ham United are interested in Palmeiras star Richard Rios, and an offer has reportedly been made.
Rios has shone at the Brazilian time and has also impressed with the Colombian national team, and is attracting interest from a host of European sides.
West Ham need to strengthen their midfield this summer, and Rios may be seen as the ideal target to take their options to the next level, at a relatively low cost.
However, given the other interest in him, it may be difficult to recruit the 25-year-old this summer, and there has now been an update on his future.

Rios wants Roma switch over West Ham
Rios has been targeted for a move to the London Stadium, but it now appears that he has already rejected this interest in favour of playing in Serie A.
Corriere Dello Sport (July 13) have now reported that Rios is keen on a move to Roma, and wants to close a transfer within the next week.

The Colombian has refused West Ham’s offer, as he strongly prefers a move to Roma, and is expected to miss Palmeiras’ upcoming clash with Mirassol in order to finalise a move.
Rios has made 137 appearances for Palmeiras, scoring 11 goals, and is regarded as one of the best midfielders in Brazil, but West Ham will have to look elsewhere for a new midfielder.
Lack of European football hurting West Ham
West Ham are unable to spend as heavily this summer as in previous years, and a combination of poor league performance, poor transfer decisions and a lack of European football has caused this.
Even aside from the financial aspects of any deal, West Ham could not attract a player of Rios’ calibre given that they are not competing in Europe, unlike Roma.
When West Ham were in the Europa League, they were able to sign Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus, but they could end the window without both players, and replacing them could prove to be difficult.
Graham Potter needs several signings as he aims to rebuild the squad, but he may have to settle for secondary targets if players cannot be convinced to join.
