Real Betis stance on West Ham ace Guido Rodriguez shared after latest news

Real Betis are considering other alternatives to West Ham ace Guido Rodriguez in the January transfer window, according to InfoRealBetis.

The Spanish outlet reported via their website (9 December) that while a move could be explored in the next window for the unhappy West Ham man, nothing is yet in the works.

The midfielder has been singled out numerous times this season due to his poor performances with the Hammers wanting at least £2.5million to sanction his London Stadium exit (InfoRealBetis).

West Ham United need to find a way to get Guido Rodriguez off their books

While Rodriguez might not have cost the Hammers anything to bring him in because he was a free agent, it feels like Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten could have done much better regarding their midfield recruitment.

The Spaniard has been under plenty of scrutiny this season due to his teams’ poor performance with their 2-1 win over Wolves even being dubbed ‘El Sackico’ by some before the game kicked off.

The Hammers’ midfield has been a major problem area this season, as none of their central midfielders seem to have the pace to keep up with opponents.

While they all have plenty of technical ability and a keen eye for a pass, it feels like West Ham could do with some more all-round midfielders rather than ones who can just put in a shift defensively.

The fact that Tomas Soucek is their most attacking central player should cause alarm bells to start ringing and if they don’t try and bolster their midfield ranks in January, even more questions will likely be asked.

In other West Ham news, Julen Lopetegui is surely kidding himself after what Guillem Balgue admitted about his verdict on the Hammers’ future.
