Rashford transfer: Jim Ratcliffe makes Man Utd decision amid West Ham interest
Jim Radcliffe doesn’t want West Ham target Marcus Rashford to join a Premier League rival from Manchester United, according to the Daily Star.
The newspaper reported on 15 January that the Old Trafford chief is not willing to allow the 27-year-old to join an immediate rival despite being axed from Ruben Amorim’s squad.
The England international has been offered deals in Saudi Arabia and MLS but wants to remain in Europe, but a Premier League move appears to be off the table.
This could end any interest from the Hammers over a potential loan deal alongside Tottenham and Chelsea for the Red Devils’ academy product.
West Ham in Marcus Rashford transfer blow from Manchester United
The forward has failed to have any sort of impact for his boyhood club this season despite previous seasons at a world-class level.
In his best campaign, the Reds’ number 10 scored 30 and assisted nine but has failed to hit that level in the subsequent two seasons.
As a result, it is no real surprise to see Amorim put his foot down about the Englishman and freeze him out of the side at Old Trafford.
This could have been the perfect opportunity to land the 27-year-old and offer him a platform to prove himself in the Premier League once more.

It does now appear that a potential move to the London Stadium is now off the cards after Radcliffe put an end to a temporary deal going forward.
This will be a blow to the Irons who may have been keen to add Rashford to their squad as a versatile forward option under Graham Potter.
In other West Ham news, a super-rich club now want to sign this player with a transfer now on the cards.
