PSG ‘need West Ham United help’ in Randal Kolo Muani transfer twist

West Ham signing Carlos Soler permanently could help Paris Saint-Germain complete Randal Kolo Muani’s loan move to Juventus, according to CalcioMercato.

The Italian website reports [21 January] that PSG currently have the maximum number of players away on loan, with Soler at the London Stadium until the end of the season being one of them.

With Kolo Muani’s move to Juventus now stalled, PSG want to unblock the transfer, and the Hammers are willing to discuss a permanent transfer of around £16.9million (20million).

The East London side would like a discount on the player, however, with talks expected in the coming days to possibly make a deal happen.

West Ham to be forced into permanent Carlos Soler transfer?

Signing Soler on a permanent deal would certainly not be the end of the world this month, with the Spaniard making a great impression since arriving from Ligue 1.

While the 28-year-old attacking midfielder only has one goal and one assist in 17 Premier League appearances so far, he has become an integral member of the team.

Supporters would likely be disappointed if Tim Steidten cannot strike a deal to sign Soler permanently, which could ultimately end with his demise at the London Stadium.

The German is under tremendous pressure after being caught up in Julen Lopetegui’s sacking, and while the Hammers owe nothing to Juventus, the situation could see them land a very talented player.

Soler’s Valencia statistics are far more impressive than those during his time in France, and if Graham Potter can help him to rediscover his former self, the Irons will be able to unearth a cheap gem.

The loanee looks at home in East London, which is not always easy for a player only at a club for a single season, so it could just be a matter of time until that deal is made permanent.

In other West Ham news, a possible move to East London has been mooted for Tottenham striker Richarlison.
