Premier League duo top West Ham’s wish list as Niclas Fullkrug departure update drops
Federico Chiesa and Joshua Zirkzee are believed to be at the top of West Ham’s list for the January transfer window.
The upcoming window is vital for the Hammers as they look to avoid relegation.
Nuno Espirito Santo is set to be awarded with further funds at West Ham in January to help pull away from the drop zone.
A new attacker is vital, with Niclas Fullkrug expected to leave the London Stadium in January.
As a result, multiple targets have been identified ready for next month.

West Ham eye deals for Federico Chiesa and Joshua Zirkzee
West Ham have long been linked with Zirkzee, who is now starting to hit form for Manchester United.
However, according to La Lazio Siamo Noi on 1 December, Chiesa is also a target for the Hammers.
It comes from a report discussing the future of Fullkrug, with it stating that the Hammers are aiming to sell the striker in January.
- Fullkurg has struggled since his move to West Ham
- Injuries combined with a lack of goals have seen him lose his place in the starting XI
- As a result, the striker is expected to depart in January
The hope is that his departure will help facilitate a new signing, with Zirkzee and Chiesa top of this list.
West Ham are also turning primarily to Bundesliga clubs to help offload Fullkrug. The German favours this move, remaining keen to return to his homeland.

However, there has been no contract between Fullkrug and Lazio, with the Italian side previously linked to the striker.

Could Chiesa make an impact at West Ham?
While Chiesa has struggled for minutes at Liverpool, when he has been on the pitch, he has made an impact.
In the Premier League this season, he has scored twice and picked up one assist in nine games, despite not starting once.
According to Sofascore on 1 December, the attacker is averaging a goal every 72 minutes in the Premier League, while also converting 18 per cent of his shots.
| Federico Chiesa’s Premier League stats this season | |
| Shots per 90 minutes | 1.2 |
| Conversation rate | 18% |
| Goal frequency | 72 minutes |
| Assists | 1 |
| Big chances created | 1 |
| xG | 1.16 |
While these numbers are unlikely to last if he does move to West Ham and gets more consistent game time, it does show that he could make a significant impact if he is brought in.
