Phil Parkinson has already explained why 'tenacious' Issa Kabore will be loved at West Ham

Phil Parkinson would most likely give West Ham United a good reference for Issa Kabore.

The Hammers are in for the wing-back, who spent last season on loan in the Championship with Wrexham.

Though it seemed like the Irons may have been up against Wrexham for his signature this summer, the Red Dragons have addressed their right-wing-back spot with the arrival of Danny Imray.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka could be on his way out of E20, paving the way for a replacement to come through the doors.

Nuno Espirito Santo has yet to see much movement from his side this window, but the biggest wins have been keeping the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Tomas Soucek.

However, West Ham could soon make a move for Kabore, someone who Parkinson rates very highly.

According to Africa Foot, Kabore is seen internally as an ideal replacement for Wan-Bissaka, should the latter depart E20 this window.

The Burkina Faso international has returned to Manchester City following his loan spell at Wrexham, where Parkinson heaped praise on the player.

The Wrexham boss said, as quoted by BBC Sport in September after a draw to Derby County: "Issa was brilliant again today.

"It's his quality, but he fights for every ball, he gets back quickly, he's a good defender, and that was a goal that will be up there with the contenders for one of the best goals in the Championship today.

"He plays with a real heart and commitment. He runs back as quick as he goes forward. He's tenacious, and he wants to win."

Kabore got an assist in the game where, like many other matches, he displayed qualities that would be appreciated in E20.

But it's not only Parkinson who has given him praise.

It sounds like typical Guardiola, as Kabore struggles to find the back of the net, despite all his other attributes.

Thankfully, Nuno shouldn't need too many goals from his full-backs this season, as Kabore's eight Championship assists last term prove he would offer other qualities that will be loved at the London Stadium.
