Pervis Estupinan saves his season at AC Milan as West Ham line up next transfer

West Ham are interested in AC Milan left-back Pervis Estupinan.

That’s according to Milan Live, who report that the Ecuadorian could be on his way out of San Siro after only arriving from Brighton last summer.

The 28-year-old spent three years in the Premier League with the Seagulls, with a move to the London Stadium now mooted, alongside interest from Fulham, Atletico Madrid, Marseille and Bologna.

Estupinan scored the only goal in Milan’s 1-0 derby win against Inter on Sunday, but a fee of around £17.3million is reported to be suitable ahead of the summer should West Ham make their move.

Pervis Estupinan would be a reliable Premier League option

Part of Roberto De Zerbi’s high-flying Brighton team, Estupinan gained a reputation as one of the best left-backs across the Premier League.

At 28, the Ecuadorian now carries experience not just in the top flight of English football, but also in European competitions, having played in multiple for Villarreal and Brighton.

Despite a difficult start in Italy, his goal in the Milan derby is said to have saved his season.

Should West Ham secure their survival, they will be looking to begin a new era under Nuno Espirito Santo, who himself has history guiding sides into Europe.

For a reasonable fee, a signing of Estupinan’s calibre and experience in the league would be a no-brainer.

Big summer window required if West Ham survive

The Hammers have been excellent in 2026, looking completely different since the turn of the year.

Sitting behind Nottingham Forest on goal difference, Nuno’s side can see an escape in their sights.

Though the Irons cannot rest on their laurels if they do secure their Premier League status.

Money has been spent and wasted by West Ham in recent years, with no discernible direction when both their managerial appointments and on-pitch recruitment are considered.

Players of Estupinan’s ilk would add experience and know-how to a side looking to avoid further trouble, while Nuno simply has to be backed if the Hammers are to climb up the standings next term.

With El Hadji Malick Diouf flying right now, though, Estupinan would likely only be targeted should their current star move on to another club already.

The Portuguese coach has proven himself by taking both Wolves and Nottingham Forest to Europe, and this could be West Ham next if he is backed suitably.
