Paul Pogba to be offered Premier League lifeline by West Ham United

Paul Pogba could be given an opportunity to rekindle his Premier League career as West Ham United are tempted to make an offer for the midfielder, according to Tutto Juve.

The online outlet [18 November] states that both West Ham and Newcastle are willing to “take the risk” of signing the midfielder upon the conclusion of his 18-month ban from football in early 2025.

The Hammers believe Pogba – a four-time Serie A title winner in his first spell with Juventus – could offer significant quality and experience to their midfield.

Paul Pogba be a good fit for West Ham United?

Despite all of the off-field issues the Frenchman has been involved in over the past few years, there is still a world-class level of ability within him, as shown throughout his career.

If Pogba can get to the level of fitness required, his technical ability could see him thrive at the London Stadium and could provide the Hammers with a much-needed injection of quality in midfield.

Creativity has been somewhat of a concern for the Irons under Julen Lopetegui, who remains under pressure, while from Pogba’s point of view, it could put him off the switch with the shadow of doubt over the managerial position.

If the club could finalise a deal, it would be a huge statement of intent and again, providing his fitness is adequate, he would walk into the Irons midfield.

With Newcastle also reportedly interested, the Hammers will face tough competition in obtaining his signature, although it could be an interesting saga to keep an eye on as 2025 approaches.

In other West Ham news, Micah Richards has claimed that Jarrod Bowen’s goal for England will be “massive” for his confidence.
