Patrick Kelly to undergo West Ham United medical within next 10 days
Coleraine midfielder Patrick Kelly is set to have a medical with West Ham by 20 June after a year-long pursuit by the London club, according to BelfastLive.
The Northern Irish website reports that the deal for Kelly, 17, to head to the London Stadium is all but done “barring any late hitches”.
It is understood that West Ham hope to wrap up the deal for the young midfielder before the end of June.
Deal close
It shouldn’t be long now before we see Kelly officially become a West Ham United player.
He’s been linked with the Hammers for a while and it is understood that the Irons have had to fend off competition from Manchester City and Sunderland to sign him.

But the Northern Ireland youth international looks like a good prospect for the Hammers after spending the 2021/22 season in Colerain’s first team.
Kelly played 29 times in all competitions this season despite only making his senior debut last summer.
He scored one goal and supplied four assists from the centre of the midfielder while he can also play on either wing or even as a striker.
Kelly’s versatility will bode well for him in East London and it might even lead to him being on the fringes of David Moyes’ senior side based on his existing first-team experience.
Kelly, of course, will be allowed to settle in before he’s called up by Moyes but we expect to see a lot of the midfielder in the Under-18s and Under-23s next term.
In other West Ham news, a deal is on the cards to sign a forward who Moyes once compared to Wayne Rooney.
