Palmeiras have ex-West Ham United star as Luis Guilherme replacement as documents exchanged
The expected imminent arrival of Luis Guilherme at West Ham United is set to see Palmeiras acquire a former Hammer as his replacement, claims Globo.com.
The report from Brazil [6 June] says Felipe Anderson is on his way to the Alviverde, having returned to Lazio from West Ham in 2021.
The deal to bring Guilherme to the London Stadium is now at its advanced stages, with documents exchanged between the parties on a deal worth in excess of £25m, plus another potential £6m in bonuses.
A medical is pencilled in for the 18-year-old upon arrival in the UK.
West Ham get their man, as their old man heads the other way
Whilst West Ham fans will remain sitting tight after what happened in the proposed Fabricio Bruno deal last week, this one looks like it has the green light.
Guilherme is a wise investment and Tim Steidten will certainly breathe a sigh of relief, as the Hammers technical director finally secures the first player of his Brazil recruitment trip for Julen Lopetegui’s planned new-look squad.
The 2006-born forward has been tracked by some of Europe’s top clubs, not to mention a few in the Premier League and a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia, but Guilherme’s camp evidently believe East London is the best grounds on which he can develop in the English game.

Hammers fans will be wishing all the best, too, to Felipe Anderson, who has signed a pre-contract to join Palmeiras as an attacking replacement [Reuters, 15 April].
Fellow Brazilian Anderson is, at 31, an experienced choice for Palmeiras for whom the financial side of the deal is certainly preferable, enabling the club to reinvest the Guilherme funds elsewhere.
