Noussair Mazraoui stance emerges amid West Ham United and Manchester United links

Bayern Munich defender Noussair Mazraoui does want a loan move as West Ham remain in talks to sign him, according to Florian Plettenberg.

The Sky Sports journalist took to X on 24 July to claim that Bayern are looking for a direct sale or a loan with an obligation to buy.

Manchester United are also in the hunt but they have to sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka first.

Plettenberg wrote: “If Noussair Mazraoui is to leave FC Bayern now, then only via direct sale or a loan with an obligation to buy!

“Mazraoui does not want a loan. He’s focused on a permanent deal.

“Negotiations between Bayern and West Ham are ongoing. No agreements yet.

“Bayern demand 20 million euros all-in. ManUtd, still there but they have to sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka first.”

Aaron Wan-Bissaka may be a decent alternative for West Ham

If Mazraoui prioritises a move to Manchester United over the Hammers, Wan-Bissaka could still be a decent option.

The Croydon-born right-back has Premier League experience and has shown defensive solidity, which could benefit West Ham’s backline.

His potential availability and Manchester United’s lowered asking price make him an attractive option for the London club.

Additionally, his familiarity with the English game could allow him to adapt quickly to the team.

However, the Irons should consider his attacking limitations and weigh them against their need for a more dynamic full-back.

At the end of the day, it may come down to who’s available and it remains to be seen where the two right-backs end up.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers want to sign a £21m-rated international striker and opening bids have already been made for him.
