Niclas Fullkrug future at West Ham now in fresh doubt as January news emerges
Niclas Fullkrug’s future at West Ham is in doubt as Julen Lopetegui eyes a January move for Youssef En-Nesyri, according to the Sunday People.
The newspaper reported on 24 November (page 51) that the Spaniard wants a reunion with the ex-Sevilla striker at the London Stadium just months after signing for Fenerbahce.
The Moroccan international is now available on loan which could see the Hammers make a move, leaving Fullkrug in a dangerous position at the London Stadium.
After signing from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, the Germany international has hardly featured due to injury, leaving his future with the Irons in doubt.
West Ham could replace Niclas Fullkrug Youssef En-Nesyri
It has been a nightmare start to life in East London for the 31-year-old who has failed to string together a run of games since signing for the club.
Since picking up an issue on international duty in September, the striker hasn’t featured for the Hammers in a blow to Lopetegui’s side.
It is safe to say the absence of a goalscoring number nine in the Spaniard’s squad has had a damaging effect as he edges closer to the sack.
This could see the former Real Madrid boss move to bring in En-Nesyri who he has worked with in the past after missing out on him in the summer transfer window.

The 27-year-old opted to join Jose Mourinho’s side but after just six starts in the Super Lig this season, looks set to be on the move again in January.
It would certainly be a bold move from Lopetegui to move on a summer signing to bring a replacement in, in the winter window but could all depend if he keeps his job beyond the Newcastle United clash on Monday (25 November).
In other West Ham news, one talkSPORT host has named a manager who fans would love to replace Lopetegui.
