Niclas Fullkrug exit twist emerges hours before Man United vs West Ham, replacement possibly named
West Ham have made a new striker their priority for the January transfer window.
Nuno Espirito Santo is ready to sell several players to make it happen, with James Ward-Prowse and Niclas Fullkrug two who could move on.
Fullkrug has made it no secret that he wants to leave, with Bundesliga clubs interested already.
West Ham are already looking at Union Saint-Gilloise striker Promise David to replace him, but a twist has been revealed hours before kick-off against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

West Ham ready to sign new striker in January
Rob Dorsett shared a strong interest in David at the London Stadium, with Wolfsburg still looking at a deal for Fullkrug to make any deal easier.
The Sky Sports journalist did, however, say that interest from Eintracht Frankfurt has faded away ahead of the winter market opening, in a new twist.
Dorsett wrote: “West Ham interested in a possible deal for striker Promise David at Belgian side Union SG.
“Nine goals for club and country this season, he is one of several options.
“Striker is number one priority in January, with Fullkrug expected to leave, but Frankfurt interest in him has waned. Wolfsburg still keen.“
How has Promise David performed this season?
David has made 14 appearances in the Belgian Pro League, eight of those starts, and has scored six times, underperforming his expected goals total.
Also featuring five times in the Champions League for the minnows, the Canadian international has found the back of the net twice, something he will never forget.
2024/25 was his best season, though, with David scoring 22 times and adding four assists in an unforgettable year for Union SG.

Nuno may have gotten the best out of Callum Wilson, but he can’t play every week given his dreadful injury record.
With Fullkrug on the way out, David could be the perfect replacement to fire West Ham to safety in the Premier League in 2026.
Leeds’ unexpected win over Chelsea on Wednesday has dumped the Irons back into the bottom three, but a win at Old Trafford could change everything.
