New West Ham United medical time emerges for Aaron Wan-Bissaka as Man United exit delayed
Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka will undergo his West Ham United medical on Monday 12 August, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Sky Sports journalist reported via X on Sunday (11 August) that the right-back, who was expected to arrive in London today, will instead begin the process tomorrow morning ahead of his summer transfer.
Even with the delay, the transfer is not expected to collapse at this stage with both clubs confident the deal will be completed as planned on Monday and Julen Lopetegui will get his man.

While supporters will obviously be worried that this deal could fall through because of this delay, Plettenberg and the two clubs seem incredibly confident that will not be the case, at this stage at least.
Years ago, supporters wouldn’t have even known that Wan-Bissaka’s medical was scheduled for today and they would have just assumed that the entire process was planned to have panned out in this manner.
Because of the multiple moving parts in this transfer and the knock-on effect it will have on Manchester United’s business, it was always going to be a bit harder to complete than deals for Niclas Fullkrug or Jean-Clair Todibo.
Hopefully, whatever issues have delayed the medical will be ironed out overnight so that things can go ahead as planned tomorrow. If all is well, the Irons could even announce their latest signing on Monday.
Few fans would have ever expected West Ham to be this busy this summer. Lopetegui was always going to wnt to rebuild the squad left behind by Moyes, but no-one was expecting this many high-profile incomings.
The former Real Madrid boss is seriously going to have to back up this business on the playing field, otherwise, he’s going to come under some serious pressure from the board and the fanbase sooner rather than later.
