Nayef Aguerd arrives at Rush Green to undergo West Ham United medical – ExWHUemployee
Rennes defender Nayef Aguerd has arrived at Rush Green to complete his West Ham medical, according to ExWHUemployee.
Writing via his Patreon account on Friday morning (17 June), the reliable Hammers insider reported that Aguerd, 26, is “in the building” to undergo his medical and complete any media work.
It is understood that as long as the medical goes well, ExWHUemployee will be able to report that the deal is locked in for the Morocco international to finally join the Irons despite worrying reports of Newcastle’s late interest this week.

Finally
There has been a lot of panic in the last few days because it’s felt as though it was a matter of when and not if Aguerd would be joining us from Rennes.
However, a reported late move by Newcastle threatened to derail West Ham’s efforts to sign the Moroccan defender, who’d even ended his international duty early to join the Hammers.
There was even more worry on Thursday (16 June) when Aguerd was a no-show at West Ham’s training ground [ExWHUemployee].
Thankfully, he’s there now and the deal looks as though it will get done as long as the centre-back passes his medical.
Imagine if he doesn’t? Wow.

But still, we do see this as a done deal now pending the medical.
Newcastle’s supposed late interest could have been a ploy from any of the parties involved.
It could have been Newcastle trying to get Lille to weaken their stance on Sven Botman, it could have been Aguerd’s agent trying to get more money and it could have been West Ham trying to make themselves look good by beating Newcastle.
In the end, it might have worked out for everyone.
In other West Ham news, the Irons have been offered the chance to sign this £12.8million goal machine after his club was relegated.
