Nathan Trott to jet out for medical within 48 hours as West Ham United exit close

West Ham goalkeeper Nathan Trott is set to travel to Denmark to undergo a medical with FCK Copenhagen, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist reported via X (21 June) that the 25-year-old will travel for his medical this weekend.

FC Copenhagen and West Ham have already agreed a deal for the transfer of Trott.

The shot-stopper will sign as Copenhagen’s new goalkeeper to replace Kamil Grabara.

Will West Ham United regret selling Nathan Trott to FCK Copenhagen?

It appears as if Julen Lopetegui had no interest in taking a closer look at Trott.

The goalkeeper was hardly offered an opportunity to prove himself while at the London Stadium and a transfer away from the Hammers therefore makes sense.

It is a smart move for Trott as he has spent the last two years on loan in Denmark with Vejle Boldklub and it is therefore a country which he knows well.

He impressed during his time with the club and was named in the Superliga Team of the Year last season.

That makes it all the more surprising that Lopetegui wasn’t therefore tempted to take a closer look at the player.

However, it appears as if it is too late for anyone to change their mind with Trott on his way to Denmark this weekend.

As a result, the Hammers will just have to hope they don’t live to regret this decision.

And as reported by Fabrizio Romano via X (20 June), it looks as if Wes Foderingham will take Trott’s place as third-choice goalkeeper in East London.
