Michail Antonio reveals what it would take to prise Jarrod Bowen out of West Ham United
Michail Antonio has claimed it would take “serious dough” for Liverpool to sign Jarrod Bowen from West Ham as a potential replacement for Mohammed Salah.
The forward laughed at the situation, with Bowen having just recently signed a new deal to keep him at the London Stadium for the next seven years, joking Liverpool would have to spend every penny they would get from selling Salah.
He was full of praise for his teammate, claiming everything he touches is turning into gold at the moment, but laughed off suggestions that any move to the Reds would be on the cards.

Speaking on the Footballer’s Football Podcast [24 October], host Rickie Haywood-Williams posed the question: “A lot of people have been talking about your boy Mikey, Jarrod Bowen as a potential target for Liverpool.
“I think Jarrod Bowen’s quality, I think he’s sick,” before Antonio interrupted: “He is a bagsman. Everything he’s touching is turning into gold right now.
“But hey, it’s gonna cost some serious dough, man just signed a seven-year deal so all that money they’re getting in from Salah, they’re gonna have to give that to us mate.
“Obviously, he’s quality. Left-footed, playing on the right side, so he probably is the perfect replacement, but it ain’t gonna be easy getting him out [of West Ham]. That’s a seven-year contract man has just signed.”
No chance
The seven-year deal should have, and has in the wider conversations, killed off any talk of a possible move for Bowen to Merseyside. He has committed his long-term future to West Ham, and as Antonio says, it would take a ridiculous offer to change that.
While the move would previously have made sense, due to Bowen’s position and style, any move is now completely off the table regardless of whether the Reds sell Salah.

Bowen’s form so far this season for West Ham has been a real focus, with six goals in nine Premier League games so far, he will be looking to continue this form for the rest of the season and help his club challenge for further success at the end of the year.
He wrote himself into West Ham folklore last season by scoring the winning goal in the Europa Conference League final, and nailed down that commitment and legendary status by signing the new deal. He will be a Hammer for some time to come.
In other West Ham news, David Moyes’ stance has emerged regarding a “frustrating” player.
