Matias Soule informs Juventus director of transfer intentions amid West Ham United links
West Ham target Matias Soule has informed Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli that he wants to join Roma, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report in the newspaper’s print edition (24 July, page 16) indicates that the 21-year-old is willing to remain at Juve if he does get his wish as he still has two years remaining on his deal in Turin.
Corriere dello Sport reported on Tuesday (23 July) that attacking midfielder Soule is keen to link up with fellow Argentines and friends Paulo Dybala and Leandro Parades.
Gazzetta added that the Hammers do not fit in Soule’s plans, hence why the Irons have switched focus to Leeds United ace Crysencio Summerville.
Will West Ham give up on Matias Soule?
There aren’t many more ways for Soule to make it known that he wants to stay in Italy. He has connections in Rome and, at the age of 21, he’s ready to make an impact in what continues to be one of the most competitive leagues in Europe. West Ham, meanwhile, may need to shift their focus elsewhere.
It seems as if Julen Lopetegui is eager to bring an attacking midfielder into the club as he continues to rebuild the Hammers.

Alas, while the intention is clear, their pursuit of Summerville from Leeds isn’t quite going to plan right now. There are obviously other options out there for them to consider. But, with just a few weeks remaining until the new Premier League season begins, they’ll want to get more players through the door.
The good news is that they appear to have the money necessary to make deals. As we know, Max Kilman and Luis Guilherme have already made their way to London Stadium. Plus, this is the first time in four years they don’t have European football. With that in mind, you’d think they’ll be hungry to do everything they can to get back there.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers have been told that a transfer for Brentford striker Ivan Toney won’t come cheap.
