Manchester United pay-off details for Wan-Bissaka shared after £15m West Ham news

Manchester United are set to pay Aaron Wan-Bissaka £5.6million to help finalise his move to West Ham United, according to Samuel Luckhurst.

The Manchester Evening News journalist shared the update via the publication’s online edition on Saturday (10 August).

David Ornstein had earlier reported for The Athletic [10 August] that a £15million agreement is in place between West Ham and Man United.

West Ham on verge of Aaron Wan-Bissaka transfer

This is a transfer saga that has dragged on for too long now, but the good news is that it appears to be drawing to a conclusion.

On the same day that the Irons confirmed the signing of Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice, they are now close to signing another defender.

Wan-Bissaka has not really justified his £50m price tag at Old Trafford, but he is still a more-than-capable full-back.

Indeed, with regular playing time and the right system under Julen Lopetegui, there is no reason why he cannot thrive at the London Stadium.

The Englishman has just under a year to run on his Man United contract, which is worth around £90,000 a week.

With the Red Devils compensating the defender, all that is now left to do is complete the medical and make the official announcement.

A very good transfer window for the Irons has become an excellent one in the space of a day or so.
