West Ham United have a price in mind for Edson Alvarez amid transfer interest from Manchester United this summer, according to GIVEMESPORT.

The outlet has suggested (21 June) that the estimation of the price tag for the Mexico international is around £90million.

The Hammers only signed the defensive midfielder from Ajax last year but he is now wanted by the Red Devils this transfer window.

He has worked under United manager Erik ten Hag before but Man United aren't willing to spend as much as West Ham are set to demand for the player.

With Julen Lopetegui set to take charge of his first season at the London Stadium, he will want the best possible squad available.

This will involve keeping hold of his best players across the pitch while adding quality from the transfer market this summer.

Tim Steidten has already brought in Luis Guilherme from Palmerias and will look to move quickly in the transfer market.

Like Alvarez, Lucas Paqueta has been linked with a move away as Saudi Arabian clubs are showing an interest in his signature amid his FA charges.

Although the Mexico international had an up-and-down debut campaign in the Premier League, he is only going to get better with time.

Lucas Paqueta's potential ban could leave West Ham short of options in midfield and attack.

With a year's worth of experience behind him, he could prove an even more important member of the squad under a new manager.

If West Ham can get the £90m fee that has been mooted, he could be worth selling, but otherwise he should be held on to.
