Mads Hermansen wants West Ham exit amid Serie A transfer update
Mads Hermansen’s time as a West Ham player could come to an end in January.
West Ham‘s summer recruitment was dreadful, and is a big reason as to why they are staring relegation straight in the face.
Among those summer arrivals was Hermansen, who was very swiftly dropped at West Ham after a string of poor performances.
He has since been dropped in favour of Alphonse Areola, with the Dane now having set his sights on an exit from the London Stadium.
Serie A club mooted with interest in Mads Hermansen
Hermansen was outstanding for Leicester last season, and his arrival was met with very high expectations at West Ham.
However, those exceptions fell through the floor within weeks, with the goalkeeper going on to concede 11 goals in his first four Premier League games.
Via FotMob, his 45 per cent save percentage is among the worst in the division, with 1.7 more goals conceded than he would have been expected to based on the quality of shots faced.
Now, he could be on his way out, with a report in the print edition of Corriere Dello Sport stating that he has expressed a desire to leave the London Stadium.
Lazio have been mooted to have an interest in the 25-year-old, who could very quickly become third-choice at West Ham.
Which goalkeepers have West Ham been linked with?
Bento looked set for a move to West Ham in the early stages of the January window, though that move fell through with the Brazilian looking set for Genoa.
Antonin Kinsky has also been linked with a move to the London Stadium, as he looks to find regular game time away from Tottenham.
The 22-year-old has played just 12 times for Spurs since he arrived from Slavia Prague last January, with just two of those appearances being under Thomas Frank, and the rest coming under Ange Postecoglou.
West Ham seem intent on signing a new goalkeeper in January, though that may need to happen first before an exit is sanctioned for Hermansen.
