Luizao completes West Ham United medical, contract until 2026 – Sky Sports
Sky Sports have reported that Sao Paulo’s Luizao has completed a medical with West Ham United ahead of a permanent transfer next month.
West Ham are set to announce their first deal of the January window imminently, with Sao Paulo defender Luizao joining the Hammers on a free transfer.
The 20-year-old took to Instagram on Wednesday afternoon to post a farewell to the Brazilian club, with West Ham now expected to announce the deal imminently.

Sky Sports also revealed that his contract in east London will see him stay with the Hammers until 2026.
“Sao Paolo defender Luizao is expected to join West Ham in January on a three-and-a-half year deal,” read the report on Sky Sports’ Transfer Centre.
“The 20-year-old has had a medical and is seen as one for the future.
“He will be part of the Development squad at West Ham.
One for the future
David Moyes moved quickly this winter to get a deal across the line and bolster his defensive ranks. While the report suggests Luizao will be part of West Ham’s development squad, he could quickly find himself part of the first team.
Kurt Zouma is recovering from surgery, Nayef Aguerd has also been struggling with injury with Morocco at the World Cup and Craig Dawson’s future at West Ham is uncertain.

If the Hammers suffer another few injuries in the second half of the season then Moyes could be forced to dip into the development squad and hand Luizao his first-team debut ahead of schedule.
But Moyes has also shown this season his tendency to bed players in slowly to ensure they settle in before being thrown in the depend. He took his time starting the likes of Gianluca Scamacca, Lucas Paqueta and Thilo Kehrer, so Luizao might have to wait his turn to be part of Moyes’ plans.
Regardless, the 20-year-old represents a very exciting and optimistic move from West Ham.
