Luis Guilherme lands at Heathrow as West Ham United set to complete new transfer
Sean Whetstone believes Luis Guilherme has landed at London Heathrow airport ahead of a £19.5million move to West Ham this summer.
The journalist reported via his West Ham Football X account [10 June] that a flight that took off from Sao Paulo, Brazil, at 4pm yesterday landed earlier today, and is believed to have the Palmeiras youngster on board.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed [9 June] that Guilherme was set to fly from Brazil on Sunday, arriving in the UK on Monday 10 June as initially planned.
“British Airways flight BA246 which took off from Sao Paulo Brazil at 4pm yesterday landed at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 3 a few minutes ago,” Whetstone wrote.
“The flight is thought to have Palmeiras midfielder Luis Guilherme on board with the Brazilian set to complete a £19.5m move to West Ham this week.”

Tim Steidten’s trip to South America finally seems to have paid off, having missed out on a move for Flamengo’s Fabricio Bruno already.
While the 18-year-old winger is inexperienced outside of Brazil, he has amassed 45 first-team appearances since December 2022 and is a player with a huge potential to progress.
Of course, due to the saga with Bruno already, Hammers fans will be cautious about getting too excited about the transfer until it is officially unveiled, but he does look to be an interesting signing.
There is a lot of hype around Guilherme in Brazil, so Steidten and David Sullivan will see this as a huge coup this summer. Julen Lopetegui will certainly be excited by the player.
Capable of deputising on either flank or even as an attacking midfielder, Guilherme will fit the fluency of West Ham’s attack perfectly, with Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus liking to switch positions throughout a match.
At just 18 years of age, the Brazilian is unlikely to hit the ground running at the London Stadium and will need time to adapt to life in the Premier League. He is an exciting transfer, nonetheless.
