West Ham United could lose Mohammed Kudus this summer with Manchester United to lose out to Liverpool in the summer transfer window, according to the Mirror.

Steve Bates has reported (2 June) that Erik ten Hag would be interested in signing the attacker who he worked with at Ajax.

United could be beaten to Kudus by Liverpool who are looking to sign a replacement for Mohamed Salah who could leave for Saudi Arabia.

The Reds want to "soften the blow" of losing the Egyptian who could depart next year which could see the Hammers' Ghanian star step up.

West Ham could lose Mohamed Kudus

The Hammers may be forced into making a key player in this window as they look to fund a rebuild under Julen Lopetegui this summer.

Initially, this saw Tim Steidten look to allow Lucas Paqueta to leave which would have brought in a substantial fee to put towards new signings.

Given his FA charges and potential punishment, the interest in the Brazilian is likely to dissipate and see him stay at the London Stadium.

This could see the Hammers look to make some money from somewhere else and after a great season, they could cash in on Kudus.

It is something that Lopetegui would want to avoid given the importance that the attacker showed last season under David Moyes.

With Liverpool and Manchester United interest there wouldn't be a challenge if West Ham wanted to let the Ghanaian go if the worst comes to worst.

Given how impressive his debut season was, the Hammers should do their utmost to keep hold of Kudus.
